Frequently asked questions
What is the best way to run paid voting for an awards show in Ghana?
Most Ghanaian awards use paid voting where each vote is a small Mobile Money payment. AsedaHost supports this on two channels: USSD by dialling *714*707# on any network, and a web ballot paid with Mobile Money or card. Both feed one live leaderboard.
How do people vote on AsedaHost without internet?
Dial *714*707# on any Ghanaian network, choose to vote, enter the nominee code and number of votes, then approve the Mobile Money prompt. No smartphone or data is needed.
Which payment methods does AsedaHost accept?
Mobile Money and card, processed through Hubtel. Every payment is independently re-verified with Hubtel before votes or tickets are issued.
Can I also sell event tickets on AsedaHost?
Yes. Organisers can sell tickets online or through USSD. Buyers receive QR-coded tickets by SMS and email, and organisers scan them at the door with the built-in scanner.
How much does it cost to host an event?
Creating an organiser account is free to start. Fees and payout terms are listed in the Organizer Terms on the site.
How are organisers paid?
Revenue is credited to the organiser wallet after confirmed payments, and withdrawals can be requested from the dashboard.
Can nominees get certificates?
Yes. Organisers can issue certificates to nominees, and anyone can verify a certificate code on the site.
